My 1st RP...

Here's a sketch I did in zbrush that I sent to shapeways.com to see how much 180 bucks would get me. 1 month later, I received my first rapid prototype!

3d Digi Doodles - A few random bust sketch's in zbrush

A little zbrush in the mornin to start the day off right!

Cloudy Visdev - Retired Character Cathy

Character design by DJ Carey Yost for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
One of those characters you wish would have made it into the film. I had an incredible opportunity and education working with Carey to translate his style into 3d!

SPA Visdev - An yet another scrapped project

Character design by the renowned Marcelo Vignali

SPA Visdev - Another dead project

Here's some work I did for a short that unfortunately never came to be.
Satan was designed by the famous Stephen Silver, and the guy is a caricature of Stephen Silver!

3D Digi Doodles - sketchclub mark, 1/28/2011

Here's a sketchclub mark from back in January. At the end of each sketchclub session
we pick out an unsuspecting "mark" for a memory sketch.
This guy looked like a tourist that was lost and deperate for help!

Smurf's Character Design - Final Digi-Sculpt

Smurf's Character Design - Getting Close

Here's a fun example of how much character design can get resolved completely in 3d. The "before" is on the left and the "after" is on the right.

The "before" was designed solely using Maya & ZBrush. The final design(the"after") was achieved via draw-overs by the production dept's character designer Allen Battino!

Pretty cool how far design work can be handled directly in 3D. This is a wonderful example of how powerful and efficient design work in 3d is, can, and will be for the future of production!

Smurf's Character Design - Early Proof of Concept

Here's some very early character design work I did for Smurf's.
Sometimes I'll take a sculpt a bit further and rigging it up for animation testing!

Glenn Harmon says goodbye to Sony

The incredibly talented and energetic Glenn Harmon leaves Sony Pictures Animation for Dreamworks. To say goodbye, some the artists here at Sony decided to do caricatures of Glenn, this one was mine. See ya around man!
